Left foot. Right foot. Lady Madison strode with confidence in her sexy armor, with her friends in tow.
"You're doing, Maddy," Shalista said with a smile. "You're being a sexy warrior."
She looked back and saw Lady Glinda and Lady Iocasta looking at her in awe. Sophia was starstruck as well, but trying hide. Maybe it's because she knew she was going to have to wear sexy armor herself. "To the Novelty Armor Shop."
"No!" Sophia cried.
They dragged her all the way there, kicking and screaming. When they entered, the clerk's jaw dropped. "This is the best day ever."
"Suit up our friend here," Lady Madison said of Sophia. "Make her look like us."
"Will do," the clerk said. "By the way, I have some shoulder armor and a circlet that would go well with that armor and cape you've got on."
"Show me after you get my friend changed," Lady Madison said.
"Oh, and she'll be wearing it out," Shalista added. "Keep her clothes. We'll pick them up later."
"Understood," clerk said, dragging Sophia to the dressing rooms by the arm with her screaming the whole time.
About ten minutes later, Sophia came out in her sexy armor, unable to look at them. "I know I look stupid. Go on and get your laughs."
"We're all wearing the same," Lady Madison said.
"Way to go, Legs," Shalista said. "You're more than just a pair of thighs. You've got a decent chest, too. Pretty nice if I do say so myself."
Sophia looked at them. "Really?"
"Uh huh," Lady Glinda and Lady Iocasta said and nodded in unison.
Sophia blushed. "Oh...thanks. I'm still not sure if I want to go out in this, but with all of you at my side I can manage."
Shalista shook her head. "Nope. You're not getting off that easy. Turn around. Let me see the back." Sophia did so and Shalista nodded her approval. "Nice."
Afterwards, the clerk showed Lady Madison the shoulder arm and circlet. She liked it and after some coaxing from the others, she bought them.
"Wow, you look so badass," Lady Glinda said. "It just the way the leader of a band of sexy warriors shoulder look."
"Huh? When did I become the leader? This was Shalista's idea."
Hey, you're wearing the cape, shoulder armor, and circlet," Shalista said. "Besides, you're Lady Madison. I would be proud to fall in line and walk behind you."
"Yet you won't join the military to do just that," Lady Madison said, rolling her eyes.
"This is just a fun little diversion," Shalista said. "It's temporary. I prefer to stay a traveler for reasons already discussed. Anyway, lead us, leader."
She had to admit, she looked more like a leader than the others. She may as well lead. "Okay, sexy warriors. Follow me."
Lady Madison led them out of the store and walked down the street with the others flanking her, two on each side. She looked and saw them all smiling. Men and teen boys saw their dreams. Women looked as well, some in awe, others in jealousy. "Heh, heh," she laughed, unable to contain it.
Then they came across fifteen muscular men in furry underwear carrying big swords and axes. Their rippling muscles glistened with sweat as they walked and shared some laughs. "Ah!" Lady Iocasta said. "Barbarians!"
"Should we kill them?" Lady Glinda asked.
Lady Madison determined they weren't a threat. They were laughing and joking. "They're not bothering anybody. Leave them be."
"You see that?" Shalista said. "Barbarians don't wear much clothing, yet they are feared far and wide. Do you know why? Because their still badasses. They walk around with confidence, proud to be seen in their underwear. Underdressed they may be, but fierce warriors they are. I find that it's not the same with female warriors. I wonder why?"
"Because women are sexy?" Sophia asked.
Shalista pointed to the barbarians and asked, "So, they aren't sexy?"
Lady Glinda smiled and dreamily said, "Oh, yes. I want to like them all over their bodies."
Lady Madison looked at Lady Glinda. She had never heard her sound like that before.
"So, what's the difference?" Shalista said. "If scantily-clad male warriors are just as sexy as the scantily-clad female warriors, then why are the males still taken seriously while the females aren't?"
Lady Madison answered, "Because..." It stopped there. She couldn't intelligently answer the question. "That's a tough one. Even someone as powerful as me wouldn't get taken seriously if I went out to battle like this. I mean, I'm Lady Madison for crying out loud."
Shalista nodded. "Yep. That's the stigma of being a sexy warrior. You always have to prove your strength to unbelievers. You'll be called a slut and a harlot simply because you're a female who just happens to wear her armor a little skimpier." Shalista looked at Lady Glinda as she said the next bit. "You called me a trollop, even after I clearly had you beat as you wore full armor."
Lady Glinda looked at the ground. "I'm sorry..."
"This is why the second tip is so important, which is why I brought you all out here to walk in public," Shalista said. "You need to be comfortable and confident regardless of how others view you."
"Unless you're fat and flabby," Sophia said.
"You've already used that one, Legs," Shalista said. "Try something else."
Lady Madison noticed the barbarians coming their way. "What is your business with us?"
"Whoa, calm down," the lead barbarian laughed, raising his hands. "We know who you are and we like living. A few of my fellow barbarians just wanted to sit down and have a few drinks with you. Do you accept?"
Lady Madison looked back at her friends. Lady Glinda, Lady Iocasta, and Shalista nodded. Sophia, being the only one under drinking age, looked at the ground. Lady Madison wasn't a drinker herself. "Sophia and I are out. I don't drink and she can't. Lady Glinda? Lady Iocasta? Shalista?"
"Sorry, but we move together," Shalista told the barbarians.
"I am in agreement," Lady Iocasta said.
"Let's meet up in a few hours, okay?" Lady Glinda said with a wink. "I'm hanging with my friends right now."
"We understand, ladies," the lead barbarian said. "Maybe next time." The barbarians waved and took their leave.
"Are you all sure?" Lady Madison asked.
"It wouldn't be fun if we aren't all together," Shalista said. "So where to now?"
"Um...to the park," Lady Madison said.
So, off they marched to the park where Lady Madison liked to go. As soon as they entered, she noticed the two women in sexy armor she talked to the other day sitting there. "Oh, hello."
They stood and bowed. "Hello, milady."
Shalista nudged her arm and asked, "How do you know a pair of cuties like that?"
The two women giggled. "Cuties?" the one with the black hair asked. "Thank you."
The other one, a blond, said, "Thanks for conversing with us the other day. I don't believe we gave you our names. I am Cordelia."
The black hair said, "I'm Wendy. It seems like you've created a group of women in sexy armor. Can we join you?"
Lady Madison looked at Shalista. "Can they?"
"Hmm...I don't know," Shalista said. "We don't have a blond, but we have two with long black hair already." She gestured to Lady Madison and Lady Iocasta. "What do you guys do?"
"I'm a light wizard," Cordelia said.
"A healer, huh?" Shalista said. "We don't have one of them yet." She looked to Wendy. "And you?"
"I don't have my bow with me, but I'm an archer," Wendy answered.
Shalista nodded. "Turn around, both of you. Let me see the back."
They looked confused, but did so.
"Yes," Shalista said. "You're in."
Cordelia and Wendy gave each other high-fives and said, "Yes!"
"So, what do we do?" Cordelia asked.
"I...don't know," Shalista said. "I guess we just walk around wearing sexy armor."
"That's fine," Cordelia and Wendy said.
And just like that, they got two new members. "I'll try to get some activities planned so we don't get bored. In the meantime, let's just walk around. Where to, Lady Madison?"
She was at a loss. She didn't have anyplace in mind. Without thinking, she pointed in a random direction and said, "That way!"
